At Baruch Support Ltd we work to ensure that children in need, including those with challenging behaviours, autism, physical or learning disabilities, and complex health needs, receive the support they need to enjoy the same opportunities as any other young person. Our service is tailored to each child and can range from one hour to full twenty four hour care. We offer support for a wide range of physical and mental health needs. This includes children with terminal or life limiting conditions where we can help by:
• Offering respite care
• Providing palliative care
• Supporting a young person living in assisted independent accommodation
• Admitting a child in need into our residential children’s homes
Depending on individual needs, we work to ensure the children we support:
• Get the help they need to live long and healthy lives
• Can build and maintain relationships
• Receive support to live a safe and fulfilling life
• Have a home within their community
• Are treated with dignity and respect at all times

We work closely with parent carers, social care teams, local groups and national organisations to make sure we are doing everything we can to transform support for children and young people.
Our aim is to provide complete peace of mind for every child or young person, as well as their families, and to ensure smooth continuity of support through to adulthood. We believe that every child and young person has the right to a full and happy life in their own home regardless of age, ability or background.
To meet each child’s needs, we work closely with parent carers, Social Services, NHS professionals and all those involved in their care. We also work with regional and national groups to strengthen the quality and impact of the support provided.
When offering residential support, we take time to understand the physical and emotional needs of each child and their family before recommending a new home.
We provide a warm and welcoming environment where, with the right level of care and commitment, every child and young person can reach their full potential. Every child is unique, and our approach reflects that. We explore each issue that affects a young person and create a nurturing environment where their needs are met.
The interests, wellbeing and future of each child are at the heart of what we do. We work within the Government’s Every Child Matters framework to guide the support we provide.
We offer one to one care and ongoing support to help each young person grow and succeed by:
• Balancing the needs of the individual with the dynamics of the group or community
• Providing education and learning opportunities to help each child reach their full potential
• Encouraging participation in social and leisure activities
• Supporting the development of daily living skills
• Encouraging safe contact with family whenever appropriate
• Considering emotional needs and personal wishes when planning care
• Meeting individual needs related to age, gender, race, sexuality, disability, culture or religion
• Creating opportunities for stability, belonging and identity
• Helping each young person build the skills they will need for adult life

We help young people and their families develop new skills, improve quality of life and reduce the intensity or frequency of behaviours that challenge.
We provide a community based alternative to residential care. This helps young people maintain relationships, stay connected to their community and improve overall outcomes. It is also a more cost effective option than traditional residential placements.
We can offer one to one support in the home or community, help with personal care, and provide families with regular breaks from caring responsibilities.
Our community based support helps children and young people return to or remain in familiar surroundings close to family and friends. It encourages confidence and independence, which often leads to better self esteem and fewer behaviours that challenge.
This approach also helps young people:
• Achieve a wider range of outcomes
• Build a stronger social life
• Have more choice and control
• Develop daily living skills
• Access education and employment opportunities
We offer a positive and cost effective alternative to specialist residential placements and help prevent the need for crisis or emergency placements.
We place the young person at the centre of every decision and work alongside families and professionals to ensure the support offers real choice and meaningful progress toward agreed outcomes.
